The Tatale constituency chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Kwasi Npoan has been fired and directed to handover to the First Vice-Chairman.

TheCitizensGhana.com has intercepted a copy of a letter signed by the Northern Regional Chairman, Mr Daniel Bugri Naabu and dated 15th September, 2016 requesting Mr Kwasi Npoan to handover to the First Vice-Chairman, Mr James Amadu Bintim.

According to the Regional Chairman, this decision has been arrived at, after the Regional Executive Committee found Mr Npoan’s endorsement of an independent candidate to be a clear violation of the Party’s Constitution.

“The Regional Executive Committee is convinced that you have violated Article 3 Sect. H1 of the Party’s Constitution following your declaration of support for an Independent candidate,” a portion of the letter reads.
