Stop Your Machiavellian Tactics- Cadres Warn NPP
The United Cadres Front, a group affiliated to the governing NDC has warned the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to desist from their Machiavellian tactics which area threat to the smooth running of the election 2016.
According to the Cadres, after the NPP realized the NDC has embarked upon massive developments in the country that appears unfavourable to their electoral fortunes, they (NPP) have employed some destabilization machinations to frustrate the smooth take-off of this year’s electioneering process.
The socialist political group added that out of ‘desperation’,Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and the NPP on every political platform keep saying “the incompetent Mahama administration” needed to be booted out, amongst various threats on the life of the president.
“How can an incompetent administration restore water, construct hundreds of kilometers of roads, build regional and district hospitals across the country, and expand educational facilities amongst many others which Akufo-Addo himself and his discerning followers bear testimony to?” , the acting General Secretary for the United Cadres Front, Comrade Efanam Nyako quizzed at the press conference.
To this end, he charged Akufo-Addo to stop spewing invective at the president as he (Akuffo-Addo) embarks on his campaign of ‘lies’ and unachievable promises.
Comrade Efanam also added that President Mahama could choose to ignore Akuffo-Addo’s tantrums, but for the fact that he continues to deceive the electorates with lies and vague promises, he (Akuffo-Addo) wants them to think same of the President.
The press conference described Akufo-Addo’s promises as ‘omnibus’ type of promises which he has been making out of phobia of the unprecedented development scattered across the country.
Comrade Efanam mentioned some of the promises like the one-district-one-factory; one village one dam; one paramountcy one district; one district one million dollars amongst others as frivolous promises.
The Cadres further dismissed Akufo-Addo’s claims of the Mahama-led NDC collapsing certain initiatives started by the Ex-President Kufuor administration as a naked lie. For instance the NPP’s claims that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the state of the cocoa industry in Ghana are collapsing is not accurate as”Joy Fm research findings further exposed the NPP on the NHIS,” he argued.
The United Cadres Front indicated that the NHIS programme rather had out-patient patronage of 9.3 million by the close of 2008, risen to 29 million by the close of 2014 and this cannot be said to have collapsed due to the proper measures the current government has put in place.
